Additional sentiments on the card come from <a href="https://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com/papa-bear/" target="_blank">Papa Bear</a> stamp set.<br />

Interest is added by stenciling white pigment ink clouds onto the blue cover panel. After die cutting the slider track and plane banner into the sky panel, it is easy to stamp the banner outline and sentiment through it onto the card base. The image is colored with Copic markers, and Glossy accents on Winston's goggles adds an amusing touch.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>This plane is the perfect size to hide the banner sentiment, giving Dad a fun surprise note!</i></div>

I also think this would be a great card to send to loved ones as a gentle reminder they are in our thoughts and if they had to change up their routine, home is a good place to be.

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This cute stamp set is called <a href="https://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com/newtons-birdhouse/" target="_blank">Newton's Birdhouse</a>. I wanted a clean and simple card without too much white space so the perfect compliment is adding a background with the purr-fect stencil <a href="https://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com/tumbling-hearts-stencil/" target="_blank">Tumbling Hearts</a>. I used Distress Oxides in Tattered Rose and (Worn Lipstick) but then switched to Aged Mahogany.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Besides making "Newton", I had a play at coloring up other types of kitties too! All cards are all colored the same, except for Newton's has red accents.</div>

<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: center;">I'm stamping my scenes and masking images to make the background wall. This confetti wall is made by sponging die ink all over and then again through the confetti stencil. (For more dimensional flooring, first draw the horizon line of the floor where it is meeting the wall. Then draw the wooden floor using a ruler by making a starting point higher than the actual horizon/floor line, and start drawing the planking right below that horizon line, down to the edge of the card panel. Each line of planking is made by lining up the dot at the starting point above the horizon/floor line and fanning out your ruler along the bottom edge of the card front. Then color in to resemble wooden panels.)</span><br />

Finally, black pen is used around the outside edge of the cover panel before it is adhered to the card base. Crafty Hugs!!</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;">I'm using the sweet images and sentiments from the </span><a href="https://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com/deer-friend/" style="text-align: left;" target="_blank">Deer Friends</a><span style="text-align: left;"> stamp set; making 2 cards, one in a no-lines version. A couple personal tips for no-line coloring; start coloring with a shade lighter in case changes need to be made, color a shade or two darker than normal for the darkest areas to differentiate the shadowy parts, and there are no lines-relax it's okay to not be perfect!! I used the same Copic marker colors on both versions. The white spots are drawn in with a Signo white pen after coloring, and I just noticed I have not drawn them in on the no-lines version. This stamp set also has a </span><a href="https://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com/deer-friend-die-set/" style="text-align: left;" target="_blank">coordinating die set</a><span style="text-align: left;"> for cutting out images, but I just used my scissors.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
However, I am using a metal die set to cut the box elements and it will fit into an A2-sized envelope. This card can be made without a die if you want to do a little bit of measuring, cutting and scoring. I'll explain that process below.</div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilpSSVQn-LsOHvUfwnYCSWtw_lex_vh-Hjs9OVPyI_61utwvLHmo3CP3QTDZa0FIkavGiSGbhlKe3Er2Tllllscj9wLqDp7O3mwWhWW5VPZMlzwNmrtAaXXMLPnv28mrL7jGGrKzLwOQIU/s1600/IMG_20200413_203239685-01.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilpSSVQn-LsOHvUfwnYCSWtw_lex_vh-Hjs9OVPyI_61utwvLHmo3CP3QTDZa0FIkavGiSGbhlKe3Er2Tllllscj9wLqDp7O3mwWhWW5VPZMlzwNmrtAaXXMLPnv28mrL7jGGrKzLwOQIU/s400/IMG_20200413_203239685-01.jpeg" width="300" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgryh-5Cw-_ZV7uGOa2Mi2P-PpN88SR26XrDkuS8EjptjEbu3d37sEZeJEAJPym5MvfaBjZLF88m624qEazvjIts5TNxHE9FKxgCeJNOpcM1NP998aqbpE7YH1Ss6Y7Rs6Oj8n9nPav2CMN/s1600/IMG_20200413_200327319-01.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgryh-5Cw-_ZV7uGOa2Mi2P-PpN88SR26XrDkuS8EjptjEbu3d37sEZeJEAJPym5MvfaBjZLF88m624qEazvjIts5TNxHE9FKxgCeJNOpcM1NP998aqbpE7YH1Ss6Y7Rs6Oj8n9nPav2CMN/s400/IMG_20200413_200327319-01.jpeg" width="298" /></a><br />
Here are some dimensions and instructions if you are cutting the box pieces by hand, making this same size card (3 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches finished size). The thing about making this without a die, the height can be changed and be as tall 4 inches and still fit in a standard A2-sized envelope. Just change all the height measurements listed below to be as tall as the finished card size you want! -so change all the 2 3/4 inch measurements to <i>your </i>desired height!<br />
This may seem a little daunting, but really, give it a try!<br />
<br />
<b>Outside shadow box panel:</b> 2 3/4 x 11. Cut one. Lightly <i>score long rectangle</i> at 3 1/4, 5 3/8, 8 11/16, 10 3/4. This last score is only 1/4 inch from the edge of the strip. Burnish this score line and bend it forward so the tab is facing up. Place double-sided tape onto this edge you are seeing. (Don't stick box together yet though!!)<br />
Next, cut out the front opening from the large rectangle panel that is on the opposite end of the strip, making sure to leave at least a 1/4 border thickness for the front edges of this front card panel. It can be a rectangle, or any shape and a metal die can be used. (If you are looking at my pictures as a guide, I have done just the opposite large rectangle than I show as my card front, but either side will work in the end. For these written instructions, cutting the end large rectangle as the front of the box is easier to explain.)<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>Side panels</b> are <i>decorative and optional </i>and can be cut to go either on the outside or inside of the box and these need to be at most 2 3/4 x 2. <i>If these are going inside the card, they need to be adhered now</i>, prior to placing the land strips. If you want side panels the same size as the sides of the card, like I did, the final card will fold up better if you cut just a tiny bit off the width, so it is just short of the corner bends so it folds up without binding. A <b>back panel</b> where a note can be added to the outside of the card needs to be at most 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 and can be adhered at the end of the card making, along with the side panels <i>if they are going onto the outside of the card. </i>My paper is patterned only on one side so I cut side pieces for the inside to show the same print on them.<br />

<br />
<b>Inside strips</b>: As many (land) strips as you want can be placed inside the card. These <b>inside strips </b>measure 3 3/4 inches long with a <b>score line </b>in 1/4 inch from each end to make a tab for the adhesive. Put adhesive tape on the outer edge of each tab on the side facing up. Keep the paper cover over the adhesive for now.<br />
These strips can be cut as hills, mountains, waves -anything you want! When making these, it is easiest to see items placed inside the box if the highest part of the (hill) strip is offset with the panel in front of it, and the front strips are not as tall as the back strips.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyOGjqQwRkRLuXQnGaOSpREe85IVfaJWNFZVQ03UyF_NOtGaAPrn-CTSfPiqbakTE4D7k3hU8Dt1XGelY3X-kGF9Lv2-dYYoQfqH4jkRSfz7QyCuPoC8gh9Dd11GJ55j8RIyDdo1aS142q/s1600/IMG_20200415_114110233-01.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyOGjqQwRkRLuXQnGaOSpREe85IVfaJWNFZVQ03UyF_NOtGaAPrn-CTSfPiqbakTE4D7k3hU8Dt1XGelY3X-kGF9Lv2-dYYoQfqH4jkRSfz7QyCuPoC8gh9Dd11GJ55j8RIyDdo1aS142q/s320/IMG_20200415_114110233-01.jpeg" width="320" /></a><br />
Remove cover paper from the double sided adhesive only on the right side of these inside strips. Depending upon how may strips you are placing inside your box helps determine where to put them. I used 3 strips; 2 land and 1 mountain. Start with the front strip. Fold the right adhesive tab to the back of the strip and place this tab onto the right-side rectangle; closer to the front. Now flip it to the right, out of the way. Take 2nd land strip and adhere the right side tab of it onto the side panel of the box; more toward the middle of this rectangle. Make sure it sits a little higher than the front strip, but still keeping parallel with the bottom of the card. Then flip it out of the way. Lastly do the same with the 3rd strip. On my box card, this is the mountains and I knew I wanted it fairly close to the back of the card.<br />
Now that the land strips are all adhered onto the smaller, right-side rectangle, fold all the strips back in toward the card and remove the protective paper from the left side adhesive. Keep the back rectangle -which is the back of the card, and the right side of the card-where all the pieces are now adhered, flat on the table and fold the left half of the card onto the right. WALL-LA! Happy Dance! Now take the paper backing off the adhesive placed on the tab of the 11-inch strip and close up the box. Open 3-D box and then push it closed to the opposite side. Fold back and forth a few times to get things moving good and burnish any folds as needed.<br />
Now you can place all the embellishment pieces onto the card!<br />
I adhered one deer on the very front of the card, and placed the sun on the very back of the card, and one deer on each land strip, giving it the most dimension.<br />
Thanks for sticking it out with me! There are a lot of videos out there, but this card is really not as terrible as it sounds, and the outcome is fantastic!! Let me know if you try it out!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's my take with Copic markers: R35, R22, R21; BG34, YG41; and cool greys & Signo white Uni-ball pen for the kitty. The accents on the page were also colored with markers. Three of each diecut image was layered up to add more interest. For the camera, I swiped the mint color all along the bottom of one of the pieces, turned it so the color was now at the top and glued it under the 2nd camera diecut. Now you can easily see the mint peeking through! Then I lined it up with the picture frame, drew a pencil line on the bottom side-edge, where I wanted it to be cut. Cut it, glued the 3rd camera diecut onto the top and it pushed up perfectly against the picture frame!</div>

Cardmaking became my crafting priority when I discovered alcohol markers, and that has since been my most common medium. I'm always up for a new medium or technique though!<br />
I am a dental assistant/lab technician by trade, living in a small, rural Northern Montana town.<br />
I'm looking forward to meeting new card-making friends, and hopefully can inspire you to get crafty during these unique times we are having. <br />
Sending crafty Hugs!! Jeannean</div>

If you'd like to see more posts from me, follow my account on Instagram- JeanneanMarshall.<br />
Recently I made a pet sympathy card with a cloudy rainbow sky, so here's a photo tutorial if you want to check out the steps on this newer version of the card!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHfWOjy_d5oPBz2PT_9F-vGWVaV0y2Zjz5UhmV4C0NorBlE1G7TUZ0BxuAl68XOoaY-uBNF0fA48Vj6Ta7eQYvRdn2ecbzHVw-1con-kdW6G60Ja9ASKRI7bTIxSYbO5q-bxEhKOHSG9mt/s1600/IMG_20191019_164936348.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHfWOjy_d5oPBz2PT_9F-vGWVaV0y2Zjz5UhmV4C0NorBlE1G7TUZ0BxuAl68XOoaY-uBNF0fA48Vj6Ta7eQYvRdn2ecbzHVw-1con-kdW6G60Ja9ASKRI7bTIxSYbO5q-bxEhKOHSG9mt/s400/IMG_20191019_164936348.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
This digital image is from <a href="http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/angel-with-kitten-c/">Mo's Digital Pencil</a> and is a similar version as the image linked. This top photo has clear glitter pen over the wings, too bad it does not show up well on the photo! I printed the image in Microsoft Word to the size I want for the card front. The cloud stencil is one I made years ago from plastic. I used a light grey ink (this one is from Altenew.com) to stencil the clouds in the background. I didn't use a stencil, but if I had I wouldn't have had to be as careful about going over the image!!<br />

<br />
I used Distress Oxide colors and Clarity brushes to swipe color in a rainbow fashion, mixing colors when they met.<br />
Here's how I shade, for coloring the image with Copic markers...<br />
Skin is the first 5 pictures. Then the next 3 pictures are the color choices for the kitty, the dress and wings, and her hair...<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I knew I wanted to use distress oxides on the background so I reached for some Bristol cardstock. I masked the ground level and blended blues above; used a brick stencil and water. Then splashed on yellow, orange and blue drops. The ground was burlap and sage. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped Blah Bunny onto the same paper and discovered it it's not my favorite for Copic markers as it bleeds easily. (I used Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink.) The sentiments are from Blah Blah Blah and Happy Everything; stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink. The same used on the card inside.</div>

This image and sentiment are from the photopolymer clear set called <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/search?type=product&q=simply+camellias">Simply Camellias</a>. There is a digital version of this image also. I stamped the image on white cardstock and the card background is also white cardstock. The view-finder disc is on pale lilac paper and the die is from Spellbinders through Little Darlings! This card was a fun excuse to pull it out again!! The stitched background paper was die cut from my most-often used die in the My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 die pack. I love the thin border of the card base poking through. I cut the flag banners from strips of paper in my scrap stash and used Versamark ink to stamp another image from the set onto the larger banner.<br />

<br />
Here's a close up of the flowers. The three larger ones are colored differently; although the top two are close in color. In real life, the smaller one at the top is a tiny bit bluer and the larger of the top two is a little bit greyer-plumish purple....Anyway, here are the Copic colors I used. Try them out and see what I mean! V22, V25, V28 (top right). V91, V95, V99 (bottom 2 flowers). BV00, BV02, BV04 (top left flower-not the bud). The leaves are all colored with BG09, YG25, YG67.<br />

I'm back with another <a href="https://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2018/01/power-spark-grab-map.html">Power Poppy</a> January 2018 Power and Spark Challenge with the help of Page Maps! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
10 different examples of layouts!! -WHAT!! It's totally sparked my mojo!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This time I used the card in the first column, second row. -The one with the flag banners on the top left of the card.</div>
This image is from the photopolymer clear stamp set is called <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/products/peony-muse">Peony Muse</a> and there are matching dies if you'd like. I just hand cut the images I used today. I popped up the larger peony to add a little more interest. The sentiment is from the <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/products/potted-primroses-stamp-set">Potted Primroses</a> set.<br />
I stamped the image with a pale distress ink color from my stash; any light ink works great for no-line coloring! Copic marker colors: R35, R32, R22, YR20. G99, G92, G20, YG95, YG25, YG11.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The paper flags are out of a Colorbok-Homespun paper pack. The sentiment was stamped in some dark green ink since I did not have any other black in the card. A Lawn Fawn border die was used for the scallop border on the right side and Stitched Line Die from Your Next Stamp used across the banners. </div>

What can I say, the Page Maps got me so inspired this month! We can enter as many times as we want, and while I have free time, I'm going for it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8KOqiT_C_8Oo4GSH3ULS6cXZv3q1voDhgcraH8DVIIZYLLuJGETIShYYf5bIdsNgnM5R2xWfgLlDJfoeOUCgmAkGbEhQhyLzRAMhQ8FmdVKPzhxf3TGQgiMZ22JOstCYYA_zrpsU_M5fa/s1600/Pagemaps+1+2018PP.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8KOqiT_C_8Oo4GSH3ULS6cXZv3q1voDhgcraH8DVIIZYLLuJGETIShYYf5bIdsNgnM5R2xWfgLlDJfoeOUCgmAkGbEhQhyLzRAMhQ8FmdVKPzhxf3TGQgiMZ22JOstCYYA_zrpsU_M5fa/s200/Pagemaps+1+2018PP.JPG" width="156" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Challenge and its simple rules can be found <a href="https://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2018/01/power-spark-grab-map.html">here!</a> It's open until the end of the month, come play!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Page Map I used for this one is the very bottom right one. The clear acrylic stamp and <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/collections/coordinating-dies/products/succulent-singles-coordinating-dies">die</a> are called <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/products/succulent-singles">Succulent Singles</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
(Can I admit I am not a succulent fan? They are starting to grow more on me....) The thing about this Hen and Chick type succulent is that my Grandma had them in her garden. -Just a few.- She has been gone for many years now, and I had gotten a few of them from her but I just let them grow somewhat rampant in my garden. I'd never really seen a "chick" because she always just kept the big hens!! And, have you ever seen one of these bloom!!! -Not a fantastic beauty to see, but interesting none the less. I always think of her and smile when I see them in the garden. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2rFXyYS2zaDBTOk4unWQpCcqDXFJL021R2M0GON01svKmfD7LygwbspE6OFebIv71e_JI_GDBr2ZCtdC0S93xVBJoAQLDV-WWssRkpDQ7tWNL5i2sB4zSgn_-HmZ6rSx_zATDc23TSNtw/s1600/PPsuccluentSinglesCoolChick.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1258" data-original-width="1600" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2rFXyYS2zaDBTOk4unWQpCcqDXFJL021R2M0GON01svKmfD7LygwbspE6OFebIv71e_JI_GDBr2ZCtdC0S93xVBJoAQLDV-WWssRkpDQ7tWNL5i2sB4zSgn_-HmZ6rSx_zATDc23TSNtw/s400/PPsuccluentSinglesCoolChick.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The colors in the photo are not quite real to life of the actual card. I am not sure what was going on with the camera and the lighting. IRL, the center of the succulent is a closer match to the outside; it's noticeable, but just a little. The main colors of the center are BG93, BG96. The outer edges are mainly YG95, YG99. There is shading on these, and that is done with the opposite color than the main leaf/petal color above to tie them together more. There is also some E31, R83, R56 on there too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The pattern papers are scraps from an old The Angel Company paper pack- including the cute little tag! The blue-green background paper is die cut with Lawn Fawn scalloped border die and embossed with WeRMemory Keepers folder, woven. Other dies used are Memory Box stitched rectangles (burgundy), Spellbinders fleur de lis (mottled beige) and Impression Obsession string ribbon die (grey paper that is then threaded through the loops of the tag).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for checking out my post, and if you like the cards I make, you can see more on my <a href="https://www.instagram.com/jeanneanmarshall/">Instagram page </a> as it is easier for me to post there! </div>

This time I used the second layout from Page Maps, the one with the big heart, as my template.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnZ9JGVa1p-kgn69O5jTBOJRQYJ7vbu96yi7LgNYQS8Gjp829RJrgwdLwpCzfDGJuLM18PZLQBN2JBpCY-hm0ez4hik4HBe9tyaP5LptLkf_yGlxPb8QfOvEgB52eAQeelsJ5o5DRWTMHw/s1600/Pagemaps+1+2018PP.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnZ9JGVa1p-kgn69O5jTBOJRQYJ7vbu96yi7LgNYQS8Gjp829RJrgwdLwpCzfDGJuLM18PZLQBN2JBpCY-hm0ez4hik4HBe9tyaP5LptLkf_yGlxPb8QfOvEgB52eAQeelsJ5o5DRWTMHw/s320/Pagemaps+1+2018PP.JPG" width="249" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This time my image is a digital stamp called <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/products/pure-prairie-bouquet">Pure Prairie Bouquet</a> and it is a cropped version. I crop my images in Word and save them onto a jump drive so I always have them available to print out when I want. This one I printed out 3 copies so I could make the butterfly dimensional.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOSmmku_FlZfMIDk89ATYbFngEVmFFJ1t2r-sFfreNcjff974k1Ccu7ILQR7RbECX0vVkuGfWLoMawMYj_o2dXdv6Uno2kKpo_y2Vc_nwHxCHvibWxzKT9yw-5wvjbhWqbn9X7EJF0sfvl/s1600/PPprairieBouquet1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOSmmku_FlZfMIDk89ATYbFngEVmFFJ1t2r-sFfreNcjff974k1Ccu7ILQR7RbECX0vVkuGfWLoMawMYj_o2dXdv6Uno2kKpo_y2Vc_nwHxCHvibWxzKT9yw-5wvjbhWqbn9X7EJF0sfvl/s400/PPprairieBouquet1.JPG" width="313" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll admit, I have never colored up the entire image; only my cropped version, LOL! I guess I know what is on my future agenda! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The clear acrylic version with a few other stamp images and sentiments can be found <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/collections/clear-stamps?page=2">here.</a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The whole butterfly-minus legs and antenna, were cut from a 2nd image, and then the front wing and body was cut from a 3rd image. The whole 2nd image -body and up through back side of front wing- was glued to the base image. This left the outer edge of the back wing loose and up from the bottom page. On the 3rd, top wing, only the body is glued and the wing has thin pop dot pieces underneath to lift it. I colored the edges of the white foam with a black marker to make it invisible. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSElR8L_UcopwmMBBB7rbUc7SVJYaGu7pDI6TbopJtWa2ycbCDbmvo4gAADHhKZpIM549FN18rqCOxrQEMaaf3yYa53E1wuo5GmjSXnzjxNvmcQawEFcOdnrTB-EWJnd-qoYj3M8BFMCr0/s1600/PPprairieBouquet4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSElR8L_UcopwmMBBB7rbUc7SVJYaGu7pDI6TbopJtWa2ycbCDbmvo4gAADHhKZpIM549FN18rqCOxrQEMaaf3yYa53E1wuo5GmjSXnzjxNvmcQawEFcOdnrTB-EWJnd-qoYj3M8BFMCr0/s320/PPprairieBouquet4.JPG" width="251" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sequin bling was added at the end with Galaxy Sequins by Lucy's Cards and this pack included the sparkling gems!! Stripes were added onto this pink-mauve background paper with Versamark ink and a solid line stamp from my stash (Simon Says Stamp Jumbo Stripes). The MISTI was a life saver for this, much easier to line up and space evenly!! This piece was die cut with My Favorite Things Blueprints dies 13. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The image panel was cut with Memory Box Stacking dies. I just put the frame size I wanted to use onto my image and since I knew I wanted the wing to hang over, marked along the inside of the die at this point. Then, cut out just the tip of the wing until the pencil line is reached. Now this wing tip can be laid on top of the die, with the remainder of the paper to be cut underneath the die, and cut in your cutting machine according to how you stack for die cutting! Easy Peasy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called Dahlia XL.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for sticking by for so long! I have a Copic marker color list for you: The cone flower is R56<span style="text-align: center;">, RV34, RV32, R81; E89, E84, E30, E55. The other flower is BV08, RV69, RV66; BG09, YG67, YG23. The butterfly is Black, R17, YR68, Y38 and white Sharpie XF paint pen.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">Thanks for checking out my card!</span></div>

If you are a fan of my cardmaking, I post more often from my <a href="https://www.instagram.com/jeanneanmarshall/">Instagram</a> page, and I'd love it if you stopped by and said hi. Give me a follow if you like what you see!<br />
This month's Power Poppy's <a href="http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2018/01/power-spark-grab-map.html">Power and Spark Challenge</a> really got my juices flowing! Page maps gave us 10 -- yes 10, layouts for inspiration and we have until January 31, 2018 to enter a card!! Come play!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbQ4nolJ2_ZU_PqqmWy7T-fKMnao9bvphPORukDsfSakhByXkjFF4k1T6MwLDQNBeagh96JOyd0BaFBzfd-X7sZsgEzbgUTgjKVWjzw7-sANbijrVL2kgH3ssbRw_5f4O8WV8aMglWCJrU/s1600/Pagemaps+1+2018PP.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbQ4nolJ2_ZU_PqqmWy7T-fKMnao9bvphPORukDsfSakhByXkjFF4k1T6MwLDQNBeagh96JOyd0BaFBzfd-X7sZsgEzbgUTgjKVWjzw7-sANbijrVL2kgH3ssbRw_5f4O8WV8aMglWCJrU/s320/Pagemaps+1+2018PP.JPG" width="248" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this card I used Power Poppy's clear acrylic stamp set called <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/products/move-the-soul">Move The Soul</a> and the layout I chose is the kitty, upper left corner. This stamp set is great for some of those "man cards" we all need to make! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdP1ytytRoRShGCmvvTvmKyer0YZ-IEU79jdhXk_OGycapw_XaQyWCnCRA0fugRAnN-qIrhW_l3ms5zy84F6sEK7rC5-BYAyaGPYklkR6Y7J6DUpatzZFGNi1ir_9YgZaguYjBxA4RPf0f/s1600/PPmovethesoul1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdP1ytytRoRShGCmvvTvmKyer0YZ-IEU79jdhXk_OGycapw_XaQyWCnCRA0fugRAnN-qIrhW_l3ms5zy84F6sEK7rC5-BYAyaGPYklkR6Y7J6DUpatzZFGNi1ir_9YgZaguYjBxA4RPf0f/s400/PPmovethesoul1.JPG" width="313" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This card has no coloring!! Just inking! I used inks from Altenew in moon rock and sand dunes for the tire tread and mud splotches in the center (A little hard to see as the camera washed the tan splotches out some.) and Simon Says Stamp's Intense black ink for the image and sentiment. The two white side panels, backed in red, are popped up 3-Dimensional from the page. The white card front is one page lined up in the trimmer and the front tire hand cut around top and bottom. Then the tan and red background papers (from my Stampin' Up! stash) were backed onto these. This piece was placed on the card front with foam tape. I love how the image is drawn to look like the rider is coming out right at you!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Colored with Copic markers, this image is called Sunset Sway. It is a digital image and I used the version without the butterfly. This awesome sentiment is included!<br />
Here's a photo version of the colors I used.<br />

I have been an admirer and user of their images for quite a while, but have never entered their challenges! Now is your chance too, if you'd like to enter a card or two!!<br />
I thought I'd get one in last month for the no-lines challenge, but did not get my image colored. So....this month I colored up the image I printed off in no-line style for the going green challenge!<br />
<br />
Here's the Power Poppy challenge link: <a href="http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2017/03/lets-get-coloring-folks.html">http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2017/03/lets-get-coloring-folks.html</a> <br />
<br />
This is the image I used. I zoomed in on the large dahlia and cropped it in Microsoft word. <a href="http://powerpoppy.com/search?type=product&q=hello+dahlia">http://powerpoppy.com/search?type=product&q=hello+dahlia</a><br />
Here is the finished card and images leading up to it:<br />

<br />
I colored the image with only four Copic markers: G28, G07, G14, YG23. I started trying all the darkest G28, but quickly found out the best way would be to color one petal at a time. That was actually quite satisfying to see it come together that way. I suggest trying that on your next no-lines project!!<br />
Other items used are Stampin' Up! cardstock, Avery Elle sentiment and Lawn Fawn alphabet letters, Sizzix scalloped square die, WeRMemory keepers embossing folder, and some light green glitter glue.<br />
Thanks for checking out my card and I'd love to hear your comment if you want to leave one!Jeanneanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05273685744550194969noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2724574216509445420.post-15557722778667945012017-02-26T13:24:00.001-08:002020-08-15T17:23:15.103-07:00A Celebration of Favorites ADFD (1)<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A Day For Daisies is closing down their blog and having a final blog challenge for us to enter our favorite ADFD cards. I have to admit, I'd had this image in my stash with this idea for quite a while before I finally made it a reality. <br />
The image is colored with Copic markers and the background was made with inks and a cloud template. The sentiment is put together with a Lawn Fawn alphabet set. <br />
Thankfully, ADFD is keeping their shop open, and it's loaded with tons of fantastic images covering all occasions! This image, <a href="http://adayfordaisies.com/stamps/animals-birds/kangaroo-ballet">kangaroo ballet,</a> is available in the shop still too!<br />
ADFD still has their Facebook page available as A Day For Daisies Community, so come join in if you are not already a member!<br />
Here's another shot showing off the tulle I stitched directly onto my card. This 3-D tulle makes this one of my favorite cards!! (The tulle was first folded in half and I did a running stitch up the side of the fold line to pleat the tulle and then poked a few holes into the card with my sewing needle and thread to adhere the material!) Thanks for checking out my post!<br />

Actually, I think the card I made for this challenge from <a href="http://cccdigicreations.blogspot.co.nz/">CCC Digi Creations</a> would look great with a graduating guy too! <a href="http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/">Sassy Studio Designs</a> is sponsoring this week's fun challenge, so come play!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This Graduate Sassy image was cropped and enlarged. (I use Word program on my computer.) After I colored her with Copics, I cut the image out, ran it through my Xryon so it would be sticky and adhered to the background. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the background, I used a white cardstock base. The <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/clear-stamps/alphabets-sentiments/cs-spotlight-sentiments">sentiment image </a> from MFT Stamps is repeatedly stamped 4 times and was a snap to line up! Yea! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped it in black embossing ink then used an oldie-but-goodie EP I had that is black with rainbow glitter. Believe me, in real life, this card has *SPARKLE!** You can see a little bit of it showed up in the right hand corner of the card. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
COPIC COLORS: SKIN: E04, 21, 51, 50, R11. LIPS: RV56, 34, 32. EYES: B32, 23. HAIR: E44, 43, 31. CLOTHES: W3, 1, 0 AND 100, C9, 7, 5.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for looking and I hope you have time to play in this fun challenge this week!</div>

<br />
<a href="http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/">Sassy Studio Designs</a> is sponsoring another challenge this month and it is the St. Patrick's/Luck challenge by <a href="http://open-mindedcraftingfun.blogspot.com/">Open-Minded Crafting</a>. There is a month to upload cards/projects with this theme, so come play with us!<br />
<br />
My family does not really celebrate St. Patrick's Day, so I used the Luck side of the challenge with SSD image <a href="http://buysassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/search/label/Wedding">Surprise Proposal Sassy</a>. I cropped it so she could be a large focus on my card. I also printed it out at 25% opacity so it would be a little lighter, as the bear actually has a ring tied onto his bow that I did not want to be a focal point. I used a " beary lucky" word sentiment from <a href="http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/">Create With TLC.</a> <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRlVaVNTxQupql3JdDBDGUXrIJaTAReG5aPrvWjX7Tc8CWTbCxyz2sw91rYBRqDU_KSKFZIp_nROgXELfGbNY1xKfyNY6R9F3bS8YJalFnboCOgas8rRtRmdb-j_QnnrrJmyAYBg4TfKd8/s1600/surpriseproposal+3-10-16SSD.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRlVaVNTxQupql3JdDBDGUXrIJaTAReG5aPrvWjX7Tc8CWTbCxyz2sw91rYBRqDU_KSKFZIp_nROgXELfGbNY1xKfyNY6R9F3bS8YJalFnboCOgas8rRtRmdb-j_QnnrrJmyAYBg4TfKd8/s400/surpriseproposal+3-10-16SSD.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The image is colored with Copic markers. The background cardstock is the same blue color as her dress but is stamped in a fresh green color from Stampin' Up! ink and a Stampin' Up! background plaid image. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Copic colors: SKIN: E04, 21, 51, 50, R11. LIPS/RIBBON: RV56, 34, 32. DRESS/EYES: B23, 12, 37. HAIR: E49, 77, 43. BEAR: E53, 51, 33, 35. (37, 49 for his nose). BACKGROUND: YG23, 06, 03, 11, 00. I just kind of scribbled the colors on the background, keeping the dark close to the image, and the lightest around the words. I used the chisel end of the 11 and 00 markers to lay down more ink and blend colors slightly. Then I added in more dark where I wanted it to be.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I used Copic markers in the BV family, mostly. I really like to have real skin tones on my people for a monochromatic challenge, so I used my artistic license a little bit here. I was also trying to find just the right sentiment for an everyday card that would not be too offensive...LOL! The sentiment is from <a href="http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/">Create with TLC</a> and she has tons of great sentiments!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for checking out my blog, and here are my color choices: Skin: E04, 21, 51, 550, R11. Bear: W5, 3, 1. Hair:100, W9, C7, BV01. Clothes: BV29, 25, 23, 20. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The background was quickly water colored with <a href="http://www.dickblick.com/items/00325-6911/">Dioxazine Violet</a> and <a href="http://www.dickblick.com/items/00325-2561/">Payne's Gray</a>. I did not use water color paper, so I watered down my colors and tried to quickly brush them on, adding the colors back and forth to get a look I wanted. I tried to keep it lighter by the sentiment. After this dried I pressed it flat under a few books for the night, then I adhered it to a dark purple cardstock that seemed to match pretty well. Good luck if you play!</div>
