Thankful For You Crop Weekend @ Some Odd World

This is my second post for the day, so scroll down if this was not what you were looking for...

This card was inspired by the Friday Afternoon color challenge. I think I was subconsciously influenced by one of the digi images up for prize, because that is one of the ones I used. I only realized it when I went back to post =)  It is a great image and one that I would think of doing more in spring colors. Since I never really make "fall" cards, this was a great way to step outside of my box!

I used a daisy embossing folder, cut around the edges of some of the flowers to make a random edge, then ran a brown ink pad over the top for more definition. The digi image is raised with pop dots to make it stand out a little more.
Copic marker colors for Rainbow Fairy: Y25, Y26, Y35, YR31.  r59, 546, R17, (E08 over all to make it more of a rusty-fall color).  E23, E21, E00, R02, W3.  E77, E74, E70, W5, W7.  G24, G99.  YG 91.  Thanks for checking it out!

SOME ODD GIRL NOVEMBER CHALLENGE

Speech Bubbles!!
Rules this month are to just use a SOG image and add a speech bubble. The Challenge closes at the end of the month; so there area a few days left. I was inspired by their Thankful For You Community Crop weekend at Some Odd World.
Here's my speech bubble card:

I decided not to add any bling, and just keep it CAS, especially with the super-large digi image. It is Chill Kaylee and she can be purchased here. She is one of my new favs! Hope you like her too! I did not have the words I wanted to put in the bubble, and they did not show up too well with the BG93 Copic color, so I gave them a shadow with a darker green marker. I also added highlights to her eyes with a super-fine Sharpie White Paint Pen.
     Copic Marker colors used are: E23, E21, E00, R02, W3.  V09, V06, V05, V04, W7.  BG99, BG96, BG93, W7.  E55, E53, E51, W3.  E77, E74, E70, W7.
I am experimenting adding greys to deepen my shadows...Thanks for taking a look!

TI Hello Pet and Treasured Friend

This is my second post of the day! If you are looking for the Graffiti Party Entry , click it to go directly there.

I decided to make a friend of mine some surprise cards, and she likes dragons and mythical things. Since I have been eyeing a couple sets from Tiddly Inks  this gave me the perfect excuse to pick them up! I also decided to check out the TI Challenge-119-anything-goes and this card will qualify!! Since I was having such great luck, I decided to check out another of my favorite company's challenge blog, and it was also anything goes, so I am entering into this one also; Oozak-challenge-23-anything-goes .
This was my first time trying to color dragons and it was a lot of fun. There are plenty of images in these two sets to make up a variety of cards!
Copic colors for this card are: G19, G17, G14, G12; R59, R46, R27, R22;E30, E31, E33; BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, BV0000, W3, and Colorless Blender, YR12, YR16, YR68.
The cool string is some yarn I have in my stash, and the background is embossed with a brick wall and then a cantaloupe-colored pigment pad was rubbed across it to make the texture stand out. Thanks for looking, and I hope I've inspired you to try your hand at coloring DRAGONS!!

Graffiti Party-second entry

Make It Crafty and Little Miss Muffet Stamps  have joined up to present us with a Graffiti Party! They are offering some cool freebies and a challenge to show them our creations with a chance to win some awesome prizes!! Here's the link: http://graffitiparty.blogspot.com/ . Entries accepted until October 20, 2013; the only stipulation is to use at least one of the freebies in each entry!!
Here's my second take: (Scroll down for previous entry)
This is the freebie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the LM2 graffiti in the skateboard is also a freebie from them.  I liked the idea of putting the graffiti on the board instead of on the wall! I was going to go for a black/white image with the graffiti popped in color, but when I got to Humpty's clothes I just had to use yellows because he reminds me of the guy in the Puss in Boots flicks...The gray paper behind is white core and embossed with a brick wall then sanded.
Here's my list of Copics: W7, W5, W3, W1, W00; E15, YR23, YR31; B0000; BV08, BV04, B05, G07, R29, R27, R05, YR07, YR04.

Have you heard!?  Make It Crafty and Little Miss Muffet Stamps  have joined up to present us with a Graffiti Party! They are offering some cool freebies and a challenge to show them our creations with a chance to win some awesome prizes!! Here's the link: http://graffitiparty.blogspot.com/ . Entries accepted until October 20, 2013; the only stipulation is to use at least one of the freebies in each entry!!
Here's my take:
The chain-link fence to just past the spray cans is one of the freebies from MiC (Urban scene); to this I merged small-brick crack and street curb, also from MiC.  From Simply Betty Stamps , I used Batty Girl Ali from the Jude Little Heroes Collection. This also came with the words I tried turning into my graffiti!
This was my first attempt at trying Graffiti, and it was hard to just let things flow. I am planning to enter this contest again with some of the freebies from Little Miss Muffet Stamps because they are pretty awesome too!
Copic colors used are: 100, BV29, C7, C5, BV23.  B37, B34, B32.  R56, R59, RV99.  C5, C3, C1.  E57, E55, E53, E51, E50 W1, W00.  Y15, Y17, Y38.  YG11, YG06.  B66, B63.  E00, E11.

This is my first attempt at "no lines" coloring. It is something I have always wanted to try and  the 30-day coloring challenge (http://someoddgirl.ning.com/group/coloring-critique/forum/topics/30-day-coloring-challenge) from some odd girl gave me the push I needed. This is their image Pixie. (www.someoddgirl.com)  The background is from Make It Crafty.com (http://www.makeitcrafty.com/) and these are colored with Copic markers: E04, E02, YR01, YR00, BV20, RV34. RV95, RV99, RV91. R05, R02, YR12, YR23. G28, G17, G14, YG03. R59, R37, R17, E47, E42, E41.
Sorry about the darkness of the photo, this is something I need to figure out still...

I started this blog as a place to post the cards I have colored up (mostly with Copic markers) that I wanted to post on other challenge blogs, etc. This is a learning/growing experience for me, and if you have landed here, thanks for looking at my artwork!
