KKS Challenge 5-Two or more stamps!

Here's my entry for this Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! I've been stamping like crazy the last few days to get some cards done for the challenges. Scroll around my blog to see the other cards I entered into their themes :)

This little cutie is from the Birthday Lulu stamp set which comes with three girly, party images and 5 sentiments, from KKS. She is colored with Copic markers and the layout is from MFT Blueprints 15. The graph paper in the background is really a pretty, deep/bright-pink color in real life, and the striped flag paper pieces have a little bit of a shimmer to them.
When I cut the pink graph paper out with the Blueprints die, I also cut out the smaller piece shape-like the one the image is stamped on, so now I have that smaller-shaped pattern piece I can use on another card! This also lets the white paper with the image on it nest flat into the graph-like background paper.
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed all the fun challenges from KKS!

KKS Challenge 4-All Things Shimmery!

Here's my entry for this Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! I've been stamping like crazy the last few days to get some cards done for the challenges. Scroll around my blog to see the other cards I entered into their themes :)
This card is loaded with shimmer - Shimmery black pearl paper, shimmery white pearl paper, silver glitter enamel dots, and shimmering show girls! This gal in the photo frame below with short hair, has a shimmery background made with Heidi Swapp Silver shine mist and Tim Holtz's dark pink (that was misted on first so all areas were covered). Looking closely you can see a little bit of pink in there! The silver shine spray was a little blotchy when spraying, but in the end it turned out well.
I masked her, and then quickly pulled off the mask after spraying. It did soak through some areas faster than I anticipated... On one of the two that were masked for cards, I ended up having to recolor and cut her face out; gluing this over the finished card since the first originally ended up with some silver puddles on it.
The images are colored with Copics and loose, white/clear glitter was glued onto their outfits and feathers.
The film strip rectangles and photo frame dies are from Stampin' Up!

No more waiting, here's the card in its entirety:

This set is called Show Stoppers and can be found at KKS. I was lucky enough to win this awesome set at its release, and this is the first time I had a chance to ink it up!!
Thanks for looking!

KKS Challenge 3-Unconventional Colors!

Here's my entry for this Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! I've been stamping like crazy the last few days to get some cards done for the challenges. Scroll around my blog to see the other cards I entered into their themes :)
This was a fun one to color up, and the first time I colored an entire image in black and white!

I thought it would be pretty unconventional to color the party girl in black and white.
I used my range of Copic C shades. Unfortunately the photo is a little washed out, and this background paper is more of a not-quite navy color in real life; that is not showing up too well.
I originally planned to find some wild, party-type paper for the background, but this piece jumped out instead! Here's the whole card:
This is Sophia and she comes with two sentiments, one of which I used on this card. This set is from KKS.
Thanks for looking!

KKS Challenge 2-Paper Piecing!

Here's my entry for this Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! I've been stamping like crazy the last few days to get some cards done for the challenges. Scroll around my blog to see the other cards I entered into their themes :)
I paper pieced her flight attendant uniform. Her skirt and jacket are cut out as one solid piece and shaded with markers for dimension. Her bag is colored with Copics and then a, dampened with alcohol, piece of burlap was pressed against it. Here's the whole card:

The Adventure letters and the banner are from My Favorite Things and the photo frame is from Stampin' Up! The stamp is from the set Glamour Girls from KKS.

What goes up and never comes down?....

Hmmm....

YOUR AGE!!!  Say What!!

These sassy cuties are from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and can be found here: Jr-Hatter-Michelle and
Jr-Hatter-Kathrina.  The sentiment is from create with TLC. This image is colored with Copic markers; and has some enamel dots, purchased from Oozak.
I merged the two junior hatters and the words in my Microsoft Word program and colored up these two jokers with the My Favorite Things Color Palate Challenge 6 and the LMMS Challenge 88 anything goes challenges in mind.
I hope you like my little funny and thanks for checking out my blog!

Happy Birthday! Marilyn Style

Well, sortof...I have a Marilyn anyway!! She's from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and is a rubbah image with a sentiment. The happy birthday sentiment circle is one I have had for ages. It has been unmounted and I am no longer sure which company it is from, maybe a PSX??

I wanted this card to be pretty much white-on-white. I deviated by adding a little blue-for her eyes, the happy birthday sentiment and the background card base.
The chandelier is cut from a shimmer paper with my Cricut and a cartridge from CTMH. Rhinestones were added to give a little more bling for Marilyn. In the photo above you can kind of see the sentiment....
The background was embossed with a folder from SU! The stairs were also embossed from a SU! folder, and the die is from Memory Box.   This was kind of a busy card for me. I was not sure about it at first, but it is slowly growing on me!             Here's the full card front:

The fancy double scallop border at the bottom is also from shimmer paper and the die is from MFT. Marilyn is colored with Copics and clear glitter is added to her dress and shoes for added Pizzazz!

(SU!=Stampin' Up!  CTMH=Close To My Heart  MFT=My Favorite Things.)
Thanks for checking my blog out and I hope your weekend is full of sparkles!!

My Dad's Truck

This is the perfect digi, for the perfect card, for my dad on this Father's Day!
Thanks Tiddly Inks! I would love to enter it into your contest!!
The card was made with Stampin' Up! cardstock and Cordinations cardstock, which I sanded for the banner. -I didn't plan on watercoloring the image, so it is printed on Georgia Pacific CS. Watercoloring seemed the best way for me to get that old, rusty-truck look! The enamel dots are "Happenings" from My Minds Eye, purchased at Oozak.com.

Thanks for looking and I hope you are inspired to try watercoloring!
